Kate Garrod Post Education Fund
About the Education Fund
Each year since 1915, the Woman’s Literary Club awards area college students with a scholarship for higher education. The Kate Garrod Post Education Fund is one of the many ways the Woman’s Literary Club is able to pour into the community.
If you are a resident of the Holland area, demonstrate financial need and are enrolled in a higher education institute, you are eligible to receive this scholarship.

2024 Scholarship Recipients
Dear Woman’s Literary Club,
Thank you for choosing me as your 2024 scholarship recipient. Your generosity will help me continue pursuing my goals while going into my senior year at the University of Minnesota. Next year, I am looking forward to my wide array of classes from social justice to Spanish and a course focused on issues in urban education where I will have the opportunity to work in a classroom setting at a nearby school. Outside of academics, I am excited to continue playing hockey for my university’s club hockey team and working to grow and create more positive change through my on-campus student organization I started this spring, centered around gun violence prevention, called Students Demand action at UMN. Your scholarship is greatly appreciated and will support me through all that the future holds. Thank you!
Dear Woman’s Literary Club,
Thank you very much for selecting me as the scholarship recipient! This means a huge deal to me as the reality of paying off student loans coupled with preparing for three years of paying for graduate school has been a scary thought. Your generosity makes it much easier to focus on school and learning what I enjoy rather than having to be worried about how I will afford it. Thank you so much for your generosity as it is incredibly impactful. Thank you!
